Meet The Team
Ken Cox, Audit Partner
Ken Cox has significant audit and consulting expertise serving clients who require services similar to those required by you. Ken has over 20 years experience and prior to joining Acord Cox & Scott, LLC was in the Audit Management Group of an international accounting firm where he served both commercial and not-for-profit Associations with needs similar to yours.

Ken is a graduate of Kansas State University and is a licensed certified public accountant.
Brian Scott, Audit Partner
Brian manages the firm’s assurance services and has significant experience serving both commercial and not-for-profit entities. Brian works directly with clients to make sure their unique business needs are met while managing financial statement audits to ensure a high-quality product.
Brian is a certified public accountant in the state of Kansas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Masters of Accountancy, both from Kansas State University. Brian has over 10 years of accounting experience in both audit and tax and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jacob Jimmerson, Audit Manager
Jacob has worked in public accounting since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southwestern College in 2017. He has done attest and tax work for not-for-profit and commercial entities. Jacob moved from Dallas, Texas to Kansas City in the Summer of 2019.
Amy Kellogg, Office Manager
Amy joined the firm in 2005 with 8 years of prior office administration experience. She handles the day to day operations of the business while also assisting in the audit process. Originally from Indiana, she met and married her husband in California. They eventually moved to Kansas, making it their home ever since with their 3 children.
JY Bender, Audit Staff
JY Bender has extensive accounting experience working for both public and private companies. Her motivation has allowed her to develop professionally in many areas including accounting, auditing, & tax. Most recently she worked as a financial analyst that proved to be a valuable experience.

JY Bender graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with her Master degree in Accounting. She has one daughter and they live in Overland Park, Kansas.
